Together All the Way to Success

11+ Sessions

11+ sessions typically start in October* when a child is in Year 5 and continue through the school year until July**. They are held weekly in small groups (no more than 4) during term time and will focus on the main elements of the Buckinghamshire 11+ test - Verbal Reasoning (VR), Comprehension, Maths, Non-Verbal Reasoning (NVR). Each session is usually 45 minutes to an hour long.

* an initial assessment will need to have been completed by your child

** additional (optional) sessions are available for existing clients during the summer holidays and the beginning of September before the 11+ exam when a child is in Year 6.

Primary English/Maths

Sessions to help your child with English or Maths are available to start at any point in the year (space permitting). They are available to children in Years 3-6. They are usually held weekly during term time. An initial assessment is usually performed to ascertain your child's individual needs. This will then be used to structure sessions to best support your child. Each session is usually 45 minutes to an hour long.

Initial Assessment

There will be an initial assessment to ascertain whether 11+ tutoring is the right path for your child. We are a firm believer in the idea that there is a suitable secondary school for every child, however, this may not be a grammar school. We do not want to negatively impact a child's mental health by tutoring them on a journey for which the end result is unsuitable for them.
